Medical and Dental Care

Inmates are provided with appropriate and necessary medical and dental care. Nurse/Physicians Assistant will see inmates at the Jail facility upon request.. In the case of an emergency inmates are taken to the Modoc Medical Center.

Inmates may be seen by their own physician; at their own expense, plus the cost of transportation. In these cases the costs for transportation will be pre-paid; the cost for medical treatment will be by agreement between the inmate and outside facility physician or treatment facility. 

Medication

Medication is delivered to inmates under  direct supervision. Over the counter medications such as Tylenol and antacid are available upon request.

Mental Health

Being in jail can be stressful. Modoc County Mental Health is available at the request of the inmate or staff.
