Sheriff Lynn Harris

Lynn Harris was born and raised in Surprise Valley, California. Securing the funding and getting the badly needed $1.1 million jail under construction and completed in 1979 was a landmark event for Modoc County and for Sheriff Lynn Harris. With 17 years of service as a sheriff and the completion of the new jail, he gave notice of his resignation later in that same year.
