Live Scans are performed on Tuesdays & Thursdays (Excluding Holidays) by appointment only. To schedule a Live Scan call the Modoc County Sheriff's Office at (530) 233-4416. The Modoc County Sheriff's Office accepts check, money order and exact amount cash, we have no means to offer change. The Sheriff's Office charges $15.00 rolling fee per Live Scan. It is unknown what the entire cost of the Live Scan will be, every Live Scan is different depending on the level of service, i.e. DOJ, FBI or Firearms, you may leave to get the appropriate funds before Live Scan submittal. Please bring your Live Scan request form and a valid state issued drivers license or ID card at time of appointment.
