Live Scans are performed on Tuesdays & Thursdays (excluding holidays) by appointment only. To schedule a Live Scan call the Modoc County Sheriff's Office at (530) 233-4416. The Modoc County Sheriff's Office accepts checks, money orders, and exact cash amounts. We have no means to offer change. There is a $25.00 rolling fee per Live Scan for processing. The entire cost of the Live Scan differs depending on the level of service for the DOJ, FBI, or Firearms.
